Refund Policy

Last Updated: August 21, 2026

Dr. Sinhas’ Healthcare & Research Foundation (“Foundation,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to maintaining transparency and accountability in relation to donations, payments, registrations, program fees, and other financial contributions made through our website or authorized payment channels.

This Refund Policy explains the circumstances under which a refund may be requested and the procedure for submitting a refund request.

1. Donations

Donations made to Dr. Sinhas’ Healthcare & Research Foundation are generally considered voluntary and are intended to support the Foundation’s healthcare, research, education, community development, and charitable activities.

Once a donation has been successfully processed and acknowledged, it may generally not be refundable.

However, the Foundation may consider a refund request in exceptional circumstances, such as:

  • Duplicate or accidental transactions.

  • An incorrect amount being charged due to a technical or payment-processing error.

  • A transaction made without the donor's authorization.

  • Any other circumstance that the Foundation determines, at its discretion, warrants a refund.

Refund requests will be reviewed individually and are not automatically guaranteed.

2. Incorrect or Duplicate Payments

If you believe that you have made a duplicate payment or that an incorrect amount has been charged, please notify us as soon as possible.

The request should include:

  • Donor or payer's name.

  • Registered email address and/or mobile number.

  • Date of transaction.

  • Amount paid.

  • Transaction/reference ID.

  • Relevant payment receipt or confirmation, if available.

  • Reason for requesting the refund.

Providing complete transaction information helps us verify the payment and process the request efficiently.

3. Unauthorized Transactions

If you believe that a payment or donation was made without your authorization, you should contact us immediately.

We may request supporting information or documents to verify the transaction. Where appropriate, we may also coordinate with the relevant payment gateway or financial institution.

The Foundation reserves the right to investigate suspected fraudulent or unauthorized transactions before determining whether a refund is appropriate.

4. Payment Gateway Errors

Sometimes a payment may be debited from a bank account, card, or digital-payment account even though the Foundation's website does not immediately show a successful transaction.

In such circumstances, users should first allow reasonable time for the payment status to be reconciled. If the amount remains debited but the transaction is not successfully recorded, please contact us with the transaction details.

Where the payment gateway confirms a failed or reversed transaction, the refund or reversal may be handled according to the payment gateway's applicable procedures.

5. Program, Event, Registration or Service Payments

Where the Foundation charges a fee for a specific event, training program, workshop, registration, internship, service, or other activity, the refund terms applicable to that particular activity may be separately communicated at the time of registration.

Where no separate refund terms are provided, refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on the nature of the payment, cancellation circumstances, administrative costs, and applicable rules.

6. Processing of Approved Refunds

Once a refund is approved, it will normally be processed through the original payment method, wherever technically and legally possible.

The time required for the refunded amount to appear in the user's account may depend on the payment gateway, bank, card issuer, or other financial institution. The Foundation cannot control delays caused by external payment providers.

7. Non-Refundable Contributions

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the following may generally be treated as non-refundable:

  • Voluntary charitable donations.

  • Contributions already utilized or committed for a designated charitable purpose.

  • Payments made after participation in a service or program has commenced.

  • Amounts for which a separate non-refundable condition was clearly communicated before payment.

This does not affect any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
